This heirloom beet variety was introduced in 1892. The old standard of beets. The 2 ½ to 3 inch globe shaped roots are tender and sweet. Beets are hardy and may be sown as soon as the ground can be worked. Harvesting young beets will assist in the growth of remaining beets; harvest is around 60-90 days.
